OpenBook was designed and developed to give traders a better position for success in the markets by evolving our community and use of the latest technology to educate and empower traders worldwide. To ensure an enjoyable and constructive network and discussion we ask that you adhere to these simple guidelines when commenting or writing posts over the OpenBook network.
What you are very welcome to do
Be nice and constructive
We are home to many traders worldwide from different age groups, cultures, lifestyles and opinions but we all share a combined passion for trading the markets. Please be polite and respectful for others ideas, comments or trading activity even if these actions do not represent your own opinions.
Encourage a discussion
OpenBook is a place for traders looking to share knowledge with one another and hopefully influence their trading activity positively. We encourage you to discuss and challenge others ideas, share trading strategies, discuss macroeconomic events and follow trends together as they happen.
Don’t be shy if you’re just starting out
Everyone has to start somewhere and you are no different. Even the greatest traders of all times started out by learning slowly and patiently. We are certain you will be pleasantly surprised by the helping hand fellow traders are willing to give. Ask questions and inquire about events if you are not sure what they mean or what expected outcome everyone is forecasting and why.
What not to do
Don’t take it out on other users
Anyone engaging in trading activity for long knows you sometimes just have bad days. Control your frustration and don’t take it out on other users please. OpenBook is not a place for you to harass or abuse others. If you will be reported by others as misbehaving, we might ban or block your account for good.
Do not use OpenBook to spam others
Please do not promote, solicit to or sell any products or services through OpenBook to other users at any time. If we will find you doing so, we will block your account on all eToro platforms regardless where we found you engaging in such activity. Needless to say, any such content will be deleted entirely.
Keep profanity to yourself
Although we are all adults here, we ask you nicely to refrain from using any obscene or offensive language.
